The Secret to a Lasting Manicure

You're going to have to stop blaming your nail polish.

Put down that wagging, chipped little finger nail of yours and listen. The little frustrating chips you get within days of painting your nails-those may not be the fault of your polish. The blame lies with your actual finger nails.

Let me explain...

Our nails have a type of consistency just like our skin does.

So if you're not catering to your nails needs, then you can't blame them for not holding polish a full seven days.

Thankfully, there's a remedy for any nail need out there.

Read on to see what your remedy is...

Dry?
If your nails are too dry, then you're seeing things like splitting and breaking. Try Essie's Millionails Nail Treatment  (at Wal-Mart) to make them supple and happy again.

No Grow?
Does it take your nails a really long time to grow? Maybe your nails have some teeth marks in them?...hmmm? Be all growth and no bite with Barielle No Bite Pro Growth. It's free of bad chemicals, but high in bitter taste-making your nails a no-bite zone. (I know exactly what this tastes like as it was applied to my left thumb at a young age. I powered through it, however, still sucking on my thumb, and spitting out the product every couple of minutes! ...Don't follow my example.)

Polish Peel?
The only time "peel" sounds good is when it's applied to your face (and even then the word "spa" should be nearby). Peeling polish may mean oily nails. Stop this with Sephora's Prime Base Coat.

Sensitive?
If your nails are sensitive, think about using kinder words. That, and Sally Hansen Nail Treatment Miracle Cure for Severe Problem Nails. The nail treatment will help all the flimsiness and peeling you may be experiencing. And maybe don't mention the "severe problem nails" part...you don't want to hurt their little feelings.

Don't waste time painting over bad nails-fix the nix with some tender love and care!
