Old Joke in 3..2..1...

Thanks to the second amendment, you have the right to bare arms.
(Can't say I didn't warn you).

While eyebrows raise and morals are questioned the more leg you show, there is nothing wrong with showing every inch of your arm in the summertime and in a professional environment.

That's the great news. On the flip side of that the one thing you do want to bare in mind when going sleeveless is that you need to balance the look with longer bottoms (whether it be cropped jeans or an ankle-length  skirt).

In other words, if you go sleeveless don't do it with a short skirt. Thank God that the rules for right now are to pick one body part to show case (I remember red carpet events growing up where that certainly wasn't the case) (and not to say that if the rules change you can show more, I'm just saying it's official-no one wants to see ALL that you have to offer, ifyaknowwhatimean).

Going sleeveless in the work place can be just a little tricky depending on your office dress code. One thing is certain, you never want to go spaghetti strap no matter how much your boss reminds you of Jimmy Buffet.

Fortunately there are ways to keep the professionalism while being an exhibitor at The GUN SHOW! (yet, another tired arm joke...I need to get some new ones :)

A peplum top is a great way to go completely sleeveless in any type of dressy environment. It's just the right dose of fancy without being over dressed plus it will most certainly keep you cool. And don't let the shape fool you pear-shapes into thinking you could never pull it off. This flare at the bottom is surprisingly flattering and will make your hips looks small by comparison (especially pair it with a pencil skirt-as pictured. It's perfectly professional, cool and flattering all in one!)

Another way to go is cap sleeves. They cover just the tops of your shoulders so if rules are in place that prohibit those guns showing you're good, but you're also not dealing with a heavy/hot sleeve. You can also get away with a knee-lenght skirt if you've got this sleeve on as it takes the edge off the "slutty" look of showing both full arms and legs.

Boxy tops or anything that doesn't hug your body is also a great way to go sleeveless.

The same rule applies to all parts of your body-leave things up to the imagination. The more skin you show and the tighter you go, only makes you look like clearance material (cheap). And you and I both know you're worth way more than that :)
