Seeing someone cake on foundation when it's 90 degrees outside always makes me think of that scene in the movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade when the guy drinks out of the wrong cup and his face ages then melts off.
Gross isn't it? Well, there's a better way to beat the heat and still keep your skin glowing, and don't thank me, thank Bobbie Brown-she gets all the credit for today's spiff.
Recently, I saw her explain that if you need coverage and it's hot outside, don't go for a full face of foundation, simply use your concealer in the places you need it then cover with a tinted moisturizer. Especially if you're sunburned or tanned your skin won't take foundation, the foundation will just sit on top.
If you don't want to run out and buy tinted moisturizer then you could take some liquid foundation and mix it with your moisturizer (always make sure it has SPF!) which would give you good coverage and protection.
If you do want to run out and buy something then Kiehl's has a nice version. The beautiful thing about them is they're reasonably priced (a bottle would be around $24) and they offer samples galore! So you could try it out first and see which color best matches you.
Remember it's all about comfort AND looking good-so don't add inches to your face with foundation.
Come back all week for ways to beat the heat and look good doing it :)
