If you’re trying to quit snacks, don’t give Little Debbie prime real estate in your pantry.
Find out what your weak spots are with food and don’t even keep it around. Stock up on things that will help you with your weight goals like fruits and vegetables (making sure you get them prepped and ready for popping into your mouth the moment you bring them home from store, giving you no excuse not to eat them).
If you are one of those people who doesn’t have a taste for vegetables or all things good for you, then work on curving your tastes towards them.
If you start little by little integrating healthy foods into your diet, you will find that your tastes will grow towards fruits and vegetables and eventually you will crave them!
Don’t look at me like that, it’s possible.
It's important that we take care of the body God has given us, and remember there's a balance. This week was all about loosing weight, but I want to emphasize that it's not something we're to be obsessed about.
In a daily devotional by Dick Mills he writes that he lost a lot of weight by standing on Proverbs 30:8, "...feed me with the food You prescribe for me." He found that by standing on that scripture and paying attention to the nudges of the Holy Spirit he was able to eat only what he needed to meet the demands of his day-no more, no less.
It's important that we don't get consumed with ourselves to the point that we think about what we eat and if we're loosing weight more than we think about anything else. Pray that God will show you a healthy balance.
Have a fantastic weekend!
