Practice Makes Pretty

This week it’s all about the little canvases that adorn our fingers and toes.

If you are a color connoisseur like myself or a French manicure maniac the best way to save money and get it done the way you want it, anytime you want it, is through practice, practice, practice.

And here's a tip to insure BOTH hands come out looking good:

When painting with your non-dominant hand a good trick is to move your dominant hand as you paint instead of trying to get precise with your non-dominant hand (oh goodness lets clarify that...)
Ok so if you're right handed and you always end up with a bad looking right hand, when you paint your right hand using your left move your right hand around to get the paint on the nail just right.

A good formula to follow when applying the paint is to do a thick stripe down the middle then smooth out the paint on the one side and then the other.

I promise you it's possible to get good at painting your own nails.  And what's great is you can spend the money you save getting a manicure on nail polishes which will last a lot longer than a single manicure.
